Our story
When we took over the old corner deli in 2019, the tuart out the back was the reason we signed the lease. We built the courtyard around it, kept the shade, and opened a café for the people who live and work around Eighth Avenue.
We keep the menu short, cook most things from scratch, and buy from people we can drive to.
A day under the tree
Quiet mornings, a busy school rush and a slow, sunny lunch. Here's how a weekday usually goes.
Tradies and early walkers. The takeaway window is fastest.
Busy for half an hour. Order ahead by phone if you're in a hurry.
The sun clears the roofline and the courtyard fills with prams and dogs.
The kitchen switches to the lunch menu. Breakfast stays on until close.
Kitchen closes. Coffee and cake until the doors shut.
Beyond the counter
We cater for offices and small celebrations around Maylands, Mount Lawley and Inglewood.

Good to know
Anything else, give us a call during opening hours or ask at the counter.
Yes. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard, and there's always a water bowl by the gate. We ask that they stay on a lead.
Most dishes can be made gluten free, and our vegan options are marked on the menu. Our kitchen handles gluten and nuts, so we can't promise there's no trace.
The courtyard is step-free from the side gate, and there's an accessible bathroom inside.
For larger groups, or for the courtyard after hours, please use the catering enquiry above and we'll put a plan together with you.
Yes, 250g and 1kg bags of the house blend and the single origin of the month. We're happy to grind them for your brewer.
